The mission of the Office of Continuing Medical Education of Providence Portland Medical Center is to provide physicians in our geographic region stimulating educational programs – lectures, enduring media, small group workshops, debates, simulation and other types of activities – which are balanced, objective, evidence-based, and possess scientific integrity.  Each CME activity should improve attendees’ knowledge and also stimulate physician-attendees to pursue personalized self-directed learning specific to their practices.  Our CME Program emphasizes the needs of primary care providers and ultimately should lead to improved patient outcome.

Medical Grand Rounds at Providence Portland Medical Center is a weekly hour-long educational program designed for an audience of practicing physicians, half in primary care and internal medicine and half in subspecialties.  The presentation is 45-50 minutes long with a 10 minute question and answer session.  The speakers are selected based on their expertise and may be local physicians or national physicians.  The major objective of Medical Grand Rounds programs is to improve the ability of our attendees to diagnose and manage problems which they encounter in practice.

There is a $25.00 charge for CME credit if you are not employed by Providence Health & Services.  If you are employed by Providence and are interested in obtaining CME credit for on-line viewing, please contact Stephanie, stephanie.munoz@providence.org to receive the promo code.
